Benefits of a Line of Credit
My family has operated numerous small businesses over the last thirty years. To lead off with, we were lucky enough to receive a traditional loan to initially set up the various businesses we have owned. These loans required weeks of endeavor, and each time we had to put up our home and vehicles as collateral. Over time, this has caused sizeable stress for our family. Until recently, we did not know that there was an simpler way to borrow money. Throughout the years, we had many unique businesses, but many of these were in the same market. In other words, we operated numerous motels over the last thirty years. With these businesses, we employed the same limited liability corporation.
Because the business remained the same, we could have been approved for a small business line of credit. For the last fifteen years, we have had the same business, and five years ago we finally received an unsecured business credit line. This has made the past five years extremely simple for us. Like any business, we face ups and downs. During the slower periods, if our sales decrease more than usual and it is difficult to compensate our suppliers, we have a secondary source of funds. We can use the line to obtain funds from the bank. We can instantly use these funds to compensate our supplier. Once business accelerates, we can repay the borrowed amount to the bank.
We were consistent with our repayments for the past five years, so the bank had continuously raised our borrowing amount. It is evident that without the small business line of credit, our business would not have survived the last five years. Luckily, if we were not able to secure this additional resource of funds, we were also qualified to receive a merchant advance. This is another great way to receive funding. We receive an amount from the lender, and we can apply these funds for anything we desire. The payment is automatic, so we do not have to keep track of a repayment agenda. If a credit line is not an option for your business, then look into a merchant advance. It is available to use and a great asset for your business.
